The Benefits Analyst is responsible for administration of existing retiree plans from prior acquisitions, maintaining a centralized repository for document storage, and collaborating with the Benefits Manager to maintain Diamondback's 401k Retirement Plan. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills and exceptional customer services abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer Pension Plan: Prepare annual audit, Funding Notice to participants, PBGC filing/payment, footnote disclosures, actuarial requests, address and withholding updates, process payments, etc.
  • Administer Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan (SERP) payments to eligible participants.
  • Administer Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA): Prepare annual audit, Federal/State Tax Returns, Quarterly Tax Payments, calculate annual benefits for Open Enrollment, process payments of trust expense, assist retirees with reimbursements, etc.
  • Administer Retiree Life Insurance payments to eligible participants.
  • Work closely with Benefits Manager to administer 401k Retirement Plan by ensuring all matters of compliance are being met, notices provided, documents filed, etc.
  • Work with Benefits Manager and Legal to maintain centralized repository for document storage.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers when necessary to resolve problems, answer questions, and provide additional information.
  • Handle general queries and complaints on the phone, by email or in person when necessary, requiring a good understanding of company operations, policies, procedures, and personnel.
  • Develop group benefits communication pieces when requested.
  • Analyze and reconcile data to/from the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to maintain data integrity across all benefit systems.
  • Prepare reports from HRIS, as requested, and evaluate the integrity of the file.
  • Provide customer service support to employees, internal, and external business partners via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Effectively and efficiently managing confidential data.
  • Ability to document and research complex topics and identify potential solutions to resolve employee benefit issues.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, be extremely organized, and meet deadlines.
