The Opportunity

Ulteig is excited to announce a leadership opportunity for a Market Director - Power within our Power Lifeline Sector (LLS). This role is ideal for a strategic, entrepreneurial, growth-minded team player who excels at fostering innovation, business success, and cross-functional integration. The Market Director will drive the Power market's strategy, commercial development, and client impact by connecting Sales, Delivery, Technology, and Strategy.

The successful candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong business instincts, and a track record of guiding high-value teams and initiatives through complexity and change. This position is a member of the Ulteig Leadership Team and reports directly to the GM and VP of Power.

What You'll Do

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Strategic Leadership and Market Performance



  • Lead the execution of the Power market strategy aligned with overall business growth objectives for the LLS
  • Guide strategic account planning and major pursuits in collaboration with Delivery leadership
  • Connect and align functional areas of Sales, Delivery, Strategy, and Technology for integrated market execution
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, evolving client needs, new services, and partnership opportunities
  • Responsible for market forecasting, backlog health, and pipeline development through accurate, data-driven insights
  • Collaborate to shape pricing strategies, positioning, and market intelligence to strengthen competitive advantage
  • Ensure sustainable growth through effective P&L management
  • Develop and report on measurable goals and KPIs tied to market strategy, client success, and financial outcomes
  • Represent Ulteig at executive client meetings, industry conferences, and strategic partner engagements
  • Bring credibility and insight from prior experience in EPC, utility, or consulting environments
  • Promote technology adoption and digital transformation as business enablers for client solutions


People Leadership



  • Support, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of Market Leaders and Sales Coordinators across geographies
  • Advance talent development through supportive coaching, clear expectations, and shared accountability
  • Enable cross-functional collaboration across departments and disciplines to drive results
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusivity
  • Coordinate with peers in engineering, operations, and strategy to execute on business plans
  • Promote inclusive oversight and talent development
  • Model and reinforce Ulteig's values through transparent, collaborative, and purpose-driven stewardship


Business Process & Execution Excellence



  • Improve internal pursuit processes, win strategies, and bid/no-bid discipline to drive quality growth
  • Promote strong collaboration between sales and delivery to ensure execution is consistent with client priorities and expectations
  • Maintain CRM accountability and reporting consistency across the Power market
  • Incorporate client and market feedback to refine services, drive innovation, and inform investment decisions
  • Leverage Ulteig's global talent strategy and digital platforms to create scalable, efficient solutions
  • Stay ahead of evolving industry dynamics, market shifts, and regulatory factors impacting client needs



What We Expect from You



    Minimum requirements



    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or client management
    • Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.


    Preferred Qualifications



    • 15+ years of leadership experience in the Power and/or Renewables markets
    • Proven success in guiding major pursuits, strategic initiatives, or commercial transformations
    • Experience working within or alongside EPC firms, utilities, or engineering consulting companies
    • Strong financial acumen - P&L management, forecasting, pricing, and pipeline health
    • Demonstrated ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence outcomes across business units
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and collaboration
    • Familiarity with technology-enabled or digital delivery models in the energy sector
    • Deep industry network and trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders
    • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills with comfort navigating ambiguity
    • Organizational agility and time management to support a fast-paced, high-accountability role

    Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $181,200 - $245,200
    * Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
