Duties and Responsibilities
The Coordinator of Campus Life reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Success at Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago. The Coordinator of Campus Life is responsible for supporting and creating campus life and community building at Arrupe College by facilitating social, cultural and educational programming and events that are enriching to the community. In addition, the position will collaborate with campus partners to create opportunities for Arrupe College students to explore retreats, faith sharing, retreat leadership formation, interfaith work, and service and justice opportunities.

  • Develops and plans a robust calendar of events for the Arrupe College community to enhance community building, in the areas of social, educational, and cultural events.
  • Directs, organizes, and co-facilitates two or three spiritual retreats per academic
    year.
  • Manages and promotes student engagement platforms such as LU Community and First Year Semester Challenge.
  • Supervises and provides ongoing training for OSS student workers.
  • Collaborates with Campus Ministry to create opportunities for faith/spiritual development, faith sharing, interfaith groups in the Ignatian tradition for Arrupe students.
  • Partners with Community Service and Action to offer service & justice opportunities for Arrupe
    College students.
  • Provides the College and the Office of Student Services support with retention efforts like
    student support and outreach initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Three years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's preferred.
  • Experience in student affairs, campus ministry, and/or student activities.
  • Strong commitment to the LUC mission and values of Arrupe College.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite. Some capacity with Adobe design programs or Canva desired.
