We're seeking a dedicated Technical Application Group (TAG) Technician to bolster our product development efforts, playing a crucial role in the Innovation and Renovation portfolio of our Foods Division. The perfect fit for this role would be someone with a keen interest in Food Science, complemented by hands-on experience in a laboratory, bench top, or factory setting. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Development Support - Execute product development formulation work in bench top/pilot plant under the guidance of a TAG Specialist - Support product development by leading raw material onboarding activities under TAG Specialist guidance - Collaborate with TAG Specialists to establish high-quality standards, facilitating the development of 'IN/OUT' product specifications for factory distribution to ensure consistency and quality in our production process SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Development Support - Support TAG Specialist by leading shelf-life studies. The TAG Technician will be responsible for organizing the sample preparation, tasting coordination as well as results reporting and archiving - Develop an understanding of our product portfolio and competitive set through various analytical and tasting activities - Support samples collection and shipment for marketing requests for photo shoots, food shows, etc... - Support TAG Specialist throughout the Technical Acceptance process with sample and documentation preparation, as well as sample shipment coordination - Support sample preparation at Consumer Testing location if needed Receiving/Shipping of Samples - Work with Specialists & NDC (R&D Center) staff to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments in a timely manner - Organizing and maintaining non-NDC storage areas to accommodate samples Administrative: - Support TAG Specialist with material ordering for trials at different locations. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: Associate's Degree in a Food or Science related field or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE: - Some laboratory or factory experience, preferably in the food industry. - Technical training in scientific or food-related field - Food science or technology background will be a plus SKILLS: - Must have good verbal and written communication skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Must be able to handle multiple assignments successfully. - Must be precise and accurate, well-organized worker with excellent time management. - Must be able to perform in a demanding, fast-paced environment. - Good mathematical (basic statistical skills highly desirable), problem-solving and analytical skills. - Computer literate and proficient user of Word Processing/Spreadsheet/Databases applications. - Self-starter - possess strong initiative, professional, team player attitude. - Precise and conscientious worker. - Well-developed interpersonal skills. - Sense of responsibility. - Ability to work independently. 352080 It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
