One of the programs is Human Performance. Human Performance (HU) tools slow us down to reduce human errors. When used effectively, these tools can also help ensure essential controls remain in place and do not break down. Position Summary: The Principal, Safety Program Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading enterprise-wide safety programs, with a focus on HU Tools. This role ensures the integration of HU Tools into daily operations to reduce human errors, eliminate serious injuries and fatalities, and drive continuous safety improvements. The role involves coaching, partnering with stakeholders, analyzing trends, and fostering a strong safety culture through engagement and training initiatives. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned location based on business needs. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $ 128,000. Bay Area Maximum: $ 218,000. &/OR California Minimum: $ 122,000. California Maximum: $ 207,000. Minimum Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience Education Desired: MA/MS Degree Desired License/Certification: Safety Certification (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST, CUSP, OSHA-30 hour, etc.) or a safety degree Minimum Experience: 9 years of safety and program development/management experience in a construction or utility environment Competencies Desired:
