Job Title: Telecommunications Specialist Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining our clients' telecommunications systems, ensuring seamless communication and connectivity. This role involves a variety of tasks, including installation, repair, diagnostics, and collaboration with other technical teams. Responsibilities: * Upgrading and Maintaining Systems: Ensure our clients' telecommunications systems are up-to-date and functioning optimally. * Installation and Repairs: Perform installations, repairs, moves, additions, and changes on existing telecommunications and related equipment. * Diagnostic Testing: Conduct diagnostic testing on telecommunications systems to identify and resolve various technical faults. * Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot POTS/analog lines for alarm panels and elevator systems. * Telephone Installation: Install and test analog, digital, and VOIP telephones. * Project Participation: Participate in large-scale projects, upgrades, and moves. * Wiring and Replacements: Run new wires and replace jacks, lids, and pedestals as required. * Device Maintenance: Maintain telephony devices, such as emergency phones, facsimile terminals, and intercom systems. * Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Field Services and Telecommunications Engineers on daily support tasks. * Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of materials (hardware and software) and appropriate safety stock. * On-Call Duties: Perform on-call functions as required. Qualifications: * Proven experience in telecommunications systems maintenance and troubleshooting. * Strong technical skills in installing and repairing telecommunications equipment. * Ability to perform diagnostic testing and resolve technical faults. * Experience with POTS/analog lines, VOIP, and digital telephones. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams. * Strong organizational skills for inventory management. * Willingness to perform on-call duties as needed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
