Top Global Tech Company Seeking Design Program Manager
Onsite in Seattle Overview: We are seeking a Design Program Manager to support design operations for a high-impact, fast-paced design team. This role involves driving and managing design team progress, planning design sprints, prioritizing tasks, and publishing feature roadmaps to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: * Track progress towards milestones, manage dependencies, identify and communicate risks, and manage changes using design domain expertise. * Partner with the DPM lead to optimize team scope, schedule, and resources effectively. * Share weekly project progress and inform stakeholders on key updates. * Maintain the bug repository and manage team tasks and bug burndown to ensure on-time software delivery. * Create automation scripts to improve team efficiency. * Lead design team critiques by managing sign-ups and schedules, capturing notes and feedback, and clearly communicating next steps. * Collaborate with the DPM lead and TPM to facilitate design-led bug bash efforts. * Contribute to design operations initiatives that help optimize and scale DPMs effectively across design horizontals. * Plan design sprints, prioritize tasks using Kanban/Jira, and publish feature roadmaps to stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience working with design and art teams to ship software. * Experience working directly with design teams and collaborating closely with technical teams. * Firm understanding of design accountabilities in relation to software release schedules. * Ability to execute on an established rhythm of business, run a team through a project plan, and proactively identify risks and possible mitigation paths. * Detail-oriented and organized both individually and at team scale. * Experience managing work with external vendors. * Experience in developing product quality standards and design operations. * Technical experience with authoring scripts to automate tasks and workflows. * Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions. Bonus Qualifications: * Experience working with design and art teams at a major tech company. * Experience building dashboards to visualize data. * Experience shipping a product at a major tech company.
