PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Training Buyer at Worley, you will support the development and delivery of procurement strategies that align with our purpose of delivering a more sustainable world. This entry-level role is designed for individuals beginning their professional journey in procurement and supply chain management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams-including engineering, planning, quality, and health and safety-to ensure that procurement activities support timely project delivery and quality outcomes. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to global sustainability-focused projects while gaining foundational experience in procurement processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchase order requirements and ensure supplier compliance with agreed terms.
  • Engage with suppliers to track progress and maintain delivery schedules for data, manufacturing, and material and equipment logistics.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on supplier performance, ensuring that all procurement activities support safety, quality, and sustainability goals.
  • Support coordination efforts between procurement and project teams to enable forward-looking insights into delivery timelines and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in procurement documentation processes, learning to prepare accurate, complete, and compliant purchasing records.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of procurement tools, systems, and reporting mechanisms used in a global engineering environment.
  • Operate under direct supervision with daily guidance, and contribute to team efforts with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET



  • A university degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly to peers and supervisors.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply procurement principles in a global project environment.
  • Basic understanding of procurement systems and workflows, with an openness to further development in digital tools and data-centric solutions.
  • High level of organizational skills, with an ability to follow structured processes and maintain accuracy in documentation.
  • Commitment to upholding health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in alignment with Worley's values.
  • A collaborative mindset, aligned with Worley's ambition to be a global leader in sustainability solutions.
