Job Description

The Associate Director, Infrastructure

Exciting Opportunity at MSK:

We're excited to share an exciting opportunity at MSK for an Associate Director, Infrastructure Cloud Platforms. In this impactful leadership role, you'll drive the strategy, development, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. You'll lead a team of talented IT professionals to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions that support MSK's mission and evolving technology needs.

You'll also work cross-functionally with departments across the organization to ensure seamless integration of cloud services, while optimizing costs, enhancing performance, and identifying new opportunities to strengthen our cloud capabilities.

Position Overview:

    Develop and execute cloud strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Ensure cloud systems adhere to security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal operation.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other departments on cloud-related issues.
  • Create and manage budgets for cloud infrastructure projects and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.

Key Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' infrastructure management experience and proven experience in managing complex programs in a corporate organization.
  • 5+ years' experience in cloud platform management, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in cloud architecture, security, and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and departments.

Core Skills

  • Expertise in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in managing and optimizing network infrastructure.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Skills in creating and executing disaster recovery plans.
  • Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of database systems like SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases.
  • Expertise in monitoring tools like BMC Helix, Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana

Additional Information:

  • This role is based at MSK's 1050 Wall Street, Lyndhurst, NJ location with flexibility to travel to other locations for collaborative meetings as needed.
  • Schedule: Hybrid onsite 1-2 days a week onsite
  • Reporting to The Director, Infrastructure

Pay Range: $182,100 - $300,200
