Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant

Location: Lone Star Pediatric Dentistry and Braces
Address: 5900 W Slaughter Lane, Suite 470C, Austin, TX 78749

Employment Status: Full-Time
Hours: 38 hours per week
Expected Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Bilingual Requirement: Preferred

Position Overview:

As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children develop healthy habits and achieve a lifetime of beautiful smiles. If you have a passion for working with children and enjoy collaborating with a fun team of dedicated professionals committed to quality care, we would love to speak with you!

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the pediatric dentist during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms.
Provide compassionate care to children, helping them feel comfortable during their visits.
Educate patients and their families on proper dental hygiene and oral care.
Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as necessary.

Travel to the Dripping Springs location on Tuesdays and Thursdays as required.

Qualifications:

Pediatric dental assisting experience is preferred, but we welcome experienced dental assistants willing to learn and grow.

Required certifications: X-ray; preferred certifications: N20 and coronal polishing.

Bilingual proficiency is preferred to better serve our diverse patient base.

Education/Credentials:


  • A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is .
  • Radiography requirements according to the state regulations.

Job related experience:


  • Experience working in a professional, medical, or dental environment with direct customer service is desired.
  • Pediatric experience, preferred

Job-related skills/competencies:


  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills- must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Must be customer service oriented and able to communicate with a pleasant demeanor at all times.
  • Communication - effective written and verbal communication is a must with all staff and management.
  • Must be able to project a capable and professional image- one that is reflective of Company Values.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills- strong attention to detail, be able to multitask and perform job duties in a timely manner.
  • Must have PC skills with an ability to learn and successfully use new software programs as required. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is preferred; as well as experience with a fax machine, copy machine, and general office equipment.

Working conditions:


  • Travel between the assigned offices, if needed
  • Attend and participate in all office meetings, continuing education events and morning huddles
