Senior Advertising Pharma Copywriter

6 Month Contract with possible extension

Hybrid, 2-3 days a week on site in Mettawa, IL. (between Lake Forest and Buffalo Grove)

Overview:

• Our global pharma client is seeking an advertising pharmaceutical copywriter to assist them with healthcare professional (HCP) campaigns. Working with a robust in-house creative department you will be tapped to produce content centered around:
• Product and indication launches
• Sales collateral materials
• Convention exhibits
• Direct to physicians and other healthcare professionals, patients, and managed health care programs
• Scripts
• Internal communication programs
• Training and incentive programs

Responsibilities:

• Writing of pharma and medical materials
• Writing, editing, content generation for print and electronic media for advertising, promotion, and other communications.
• Strategic direction and advice for elements described above
• Support commercial team, with ad hoc support of other functions and corporate teams
• Develop content in collaboration with franchise and cross-functional review processes (Medical, Regulatory, Legal, etc.)
• Work with multiple internal and external resources
• Generate consumer, external facing creative content and concepting
• Collaborate with art directors and designers in the creation of materials

Qualifications:

• B.A./B.S/Business, Communications or Advertising; or equivalent business experience within a these or related industries
• 10-15+ years' pharmaceutical advertising agency experience
• Proven skills and experience in written communication
• Proven skills and experience in developing pharma-based advertising and promotional ideas, concepts, and campaigns
• Capacity to learn and apply applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products, and the promotion of sales and marketing materials/samples and interactions with healthcare professionals
• Knowledge and experience in translating complex information into successful communications aimed at various professional and patient target audiences
• Advanced written, verbal, and presentation skills; project management skills; and organizational skills
