Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Grading Laborer to work at our Castle Rock, CO location . The grading laborer performs manual work in preparing surfaces for grading. Our laborer positions offers the opportunity to explore many career paths from lube tech, heavy equipment operator all the way up to supervision. Many of our Supervisors and Managers started as laborers. Pay: $20-23/hr Shift/Schedule: 7am-5pm Nights and Weekends Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Laborer will: Shovel aggregate base course material and or dirt Ability to learn grade and slopes Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, in all types of Weather conditions Willing to perform multiple job tasks. Guide truck to dump material where needed Able to perform work Safely Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills No experience necessary Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period Work outside for an extended period Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments Ability to read and write English Valid driver's license Physical Requirements Lifts up to fifty (50) pounds Sits, stands, and walks for extended periods of time Occasional pushing, pulling and/or prying Good visual acuity, depth perception and eye-hand coordination Able to detect differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness Operates motor vehicle Works in environment with noise and temperature variations To Apply Please submit a resume.
