Location: Southeast Region, United States (Travel)

What the Role Involves:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Field Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in various trades and possess the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. They will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining safety and compliance.

  • Oversee all phases of the project life cycle on a daily basis, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Secure all required permits and licenses prior to the commencement of construction activities.
  • Manage the coordination and activities of construction teams and subcontractors effectively.
  • Maintain high-quality construction standards and utilize appropriate building techniques.
  • Ensure all work adheres to building codes and complies with safety regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements in construction execution and improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Provide updates on project status to stakeholders, including upper management, architects, and construction managers.
  • Address and resolve any issues that may arise during construction, including unexpected site conditions and conflicts with subcontractors.
  • Order and oversee the use of materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Document and submit daily progress reports, highlighting any discrepancies or changes from the original plan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or relevant field (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
  • OSHA 30 Certifications
  • GC Licenses (Preferred)
  • CPR Certified (Preferred)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingency planning.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and design specifications.
  • In depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Ability to manage a team of workers, including work schedules, day-to-day project progress and resource allocation
  • Ability to create cost/units estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project needs.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Assist in qualifying subcontractors.
  • Ability to travel 80% of time.
