The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP / Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. NP or PA provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Experience in Gyn Oncology, Surgical Oncology or Oncology experience is preferred. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse -OR- Requires a Bachelor's Degree; completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant or Surgeon's Assistant program; Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPAC) Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
