Principal responsibilities:
Programmatic Strategy & Partnerships (45%):
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Partners with faculty leaders to identify, set, and achieve specific goals through various efforts, developing and implementing strategic plans, identify collaborative and synergistic research opportunities, recruiting partnerships, and facilitating opportunities where applicable, ensuring the Gould Center stays at the forefront of asthma care and research.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Serves as a key liaison between the Gould Center and the PCCM division, Allergy, Channing, and other relevant partnerships and constituents. Works to build connections and establish working relationships with academic entities across the Harvard and MGB ecosystems to develop programs and initiatives that promote asthma research and care through collaborations, developing or creating access to shared resources, and other efforts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the development office, keeping our generous donors informed and involved in the Center's advancements.
- Strategic Communication: Partner with development to facilitate strategic communication of funding opportunities to ensure Gould initiatives (research and otherwise) are appropriately communicated to prospective donors.
- Directs the internal review process to select institutional nominees for all limited submission funding opportunities, as applicable.
- Program Development and Oversight: Develops and executes programs critical to fulfilling the mission of the Gould Center. Works with a variety of leaders and stakeholders to design and deliver seminars, symposia, workshops, speaker series, and other programs and projects.
Administrative Operations (40%):
- Performance Measurement & Reporting: Develop SOPs, policies and procedures, maintain essential documentation, and ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Operational Oversight: Identify and resolve operational problems as they arise. Tracks work and progress on Gould Center projects. Reviews assignments/tasks and independently determines priorities and progress as appropriate. Provide research, logistical expertise, and innovative solutions to research, patient care, and professional challenges. Take on other strategic and operational tasks as the Center grows and evolves.
- Team Building: Support the Identification, recruitment and training of the best talent to execute the Center's vision. Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes teamwork and engagement.
Finance (15%):
- Budget & Resource Allocation: Responsible for financial management of the Gould Center budget and expenditures. Ensure fiscal responsibility, bridging communication between the financial and research teams to keep projects and funding on track.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred
- Previous leadership experience in a progressively responsible position
- Experience in healthcare and research required
- Understanding and working knowledge of principles of SOPs, GCP, FDA, IRB, clinical research methodology, regulations, and compliance required
