Postdoctoral Research Scholar - Statistics and Actuarial Sciences

The Department ofStatistics and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Iowa invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar Position. The post-doctoral scholar will work with a multidisciplinary team with expertise in statistics, bioengineering and medical science at the University of Iowa. The post-doctoral scholar will be responsible for developing new methodologies for analyzing high-dimensional medical data, writing computer programs to implement the proposed methods, doing literature review, studying the theoretical properties of the new methods, carrying out simulations and real data analysis, writing reports and participating in team meetings. The post-doctoral scholar will be supervised by the lead Statistician, Dr. Kung-Sik Chan.

Education: Applicants must have completed the requirements for a PhD in a relevant field prior to their proposed start date.

The appointment carries an annual salary of no less than $61,008, commensurate with experience.
