Job Title: Director, SEC Financial Reporting

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of SEC Financial Reporting for a client in Round Rock, Texas. This role is critical to maintaining compliance with SEC regulations and ensuring the accuracy and transparency of external financial reports. The Director will oversee all aspects of SEC reporting, support internal financial analysis, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes by working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead the preparation and timely submission of SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other periodic reports.



  • Oversee monthly financial reporting, including analysis of actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.



  • Serve as a key liaison with external auditors and ensure successful completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits.



  • Support the organization's SOX 404b compliance efforts related to Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).



  • Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on new and existing accounting standards.



  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance, Legal, and Executive leadership to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.



  • Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined reporting processes and tools.



  • Assist in the professional development of team members and enhance organizational SEC reporting capabilities.




Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.



  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, preferably within a public company or public accounting firm.



  • In-depth knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, U.S. GAAP, and SOX 404b compliance.



  • Proven experience managing financial audits and working effectively with external auditors.



  • Strong technical accounting background and ability to interpret complex financial regulations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across departments.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms).
