Your Impact
We are looking for a Product Manager I with product/service/project/program management and software development experience, to drive impact through discovering, defining and overseeing the delivery and rollout of features that solve critical user needs.
You will be a member of a global team working on a prioritized generative AI (gen AI) initiative, based in our Atlanta office. Our McKinsey's Tech Ecosystem function is responsible for developing and delivering all technology solutions for the firm's internal use.
With your understanding of AI and ML products and experience with working with design teams, you'll build and help drive the success of a gen AI product that has company-wide impact. As part of the product team you will sit at business side and work closely with tech to ensure the right things are built and work with supporting teams so that impact is maximized.
You will define, lead and implement the short and long term way forward for critical priorities for Gen AI- McKinsey's leading generative AI tool for employees - solving real user needs. As a Product Manager I, you will define the product vision and roadmap for a complex area within the gen AI initiative, oversee the backlog, and prioritize user stories. You'll manage a cross-functional team in doing so.
You will define objectives and key results for your team. Collaborating with development and data science teams, you will refine these stories and evolve the solution, conducting agile ceremonies with expertise. Engaging with users for feedback and user research will be essential to enhancing user experience as well as leveraging data and user insights to turn into product strategy and requirements.
You will lead the definition, execution, and rollout and monitoring of features in a complex area, working with product managers, designers, and engineers, analytics teams as well as our adoption team. You will anticipate opportunities and challenges, guiding the team and leadership in addressing them proactively.
Your role includes developing business requirements, leading agile development, and managing backlog grooming and sprint planning with your team. You will establish time schedules with engineering and design teams and define and develop necessary features. Prototyping, testing, and visualizing product features with designers will be part of your daily tasks. Ensuring that each feature meets its acceptance criteria will be a key responsibility, driving the success of our generative AI initiatives.
You will continuously improve your teams operations, ensure risks are addressed and will collaborate with key leaders and stakeholders aligning as well as identifying and driving synergies across your workstreams.You'll foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and ownership within the team, coach product owners within the team and contribute overall to the growth of the product capability and implement best practices across your team.
Your Growth
You will work with the generative AI team focused on AI platforms or products. Our team is distributed across multiple locations, including offices in North America, Europe, and Latin America.
The generative AI team is dedicated to advancing the capabilities and applications of data retrieval and Generative AI within our firm, driving innovation, and delivering impactful AI solutions.
Your qualifications and skills
  • 5+ years of experience building products with a strong product management toolkit, effectively leading cross-functional teams in agile set-up across the full product development lifecycle
  • Expert in all aspects of product development lifecycle and adjacent topics such as roles and user journeys
  • Proven track-record in successfully building products, driving and scaling impact with AI and/or generative AI space, contributing from strategy to delivery (preferred)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and navigating complex, rapidly changing AI landscapes; prior consulting experience is valued
  • Strong execution and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify, drive and deliver on critical paths and product strategies in a timely manner
  • Exceptional people leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with strong team player mindset working side by side with peers to deliver strategic bigger objectives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving & structuring skills with ability to translate technical concepts, user analytics and user pain points into product requirements
  • A technical understanding of AI and ML products is preferred
  • Some flexibility in working hours is required to accommodate different time zones as well as up to 20% international travel required due to the geographic dispersion of the team

to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current

and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
