Job Summary: The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for financial forecast and business analysis. Incumbents in this position will prepare and analyze consolidated financial plans and provide advice to senior management and business partners. Cubic's growth strategy requires expanded financial support in geographic expansion into new international territories, business process outsourcing services and strategic growth initiatives. To drive operational excellence, we are also committed to exploring and implementing innovative approaches to operate our business. The FP&A Manager is a key member of the worldwide team and provides financial assistance as needed. Incumbent will work with stakeholders to develop business cases, minimize the costs of projects assigned, and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with regional management teams to prepare consolidated financial budgets and quarterly forecasts and perform variance analysis. Prepares ad hoc analysis as required by Management.

  • Develops and establishes consistent reporting on key business financial performance across all business units; maintains financial and operational KPI reports.

  • Develops cost benefit and productivity analysis in line with the company financial plans and assists in preparing cost improvement plans.

  • Captures and reports major business financial drivers for existing businesses and business diversification initiatives.

  • Assists in the development of commercial and pricing scenarios and proposals.

  • Develops strong working relationships and understanding of the company's products and services, to facilitate highly effective team working through the business development and contract negotiation cycles.

  • Assists in the implementation of critical business systems to meet Cubic reporting requirements.

  • Participates in financial due diligence exercises as assigned.

  • Establishes and manages processes for demand and resource management.

  • Leads direct and indirect reports in a matrix environment.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree in Finance or Economics, plus a minimum of eight years of financial analysis and planning experience. MBA is preferred. Must have a sound understanding of commercial and business systems. Ability to handle complex data and present effectively to management, and negotiate and win customer buy-in to technical and operational decisions. Must have strong communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Must be able to build effective relationships with business leadership at all levels of the company. Ability to leverage existing environment while driving towards best practices throughout areas of responsibility.

Cubic Pay Range:

$55.22 - $89.73 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
