Job description

Barilla America, Inc. wants to recruit a Shopper Marketing Managerto joinourSales team. The individual will reporting to the Shopper Marketing Associate Director.

This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL.


Job Purpose:

The Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of insight-driven omni-channel shopper marketing programs & strategies in alignment with brand & retailer objectives.



Key Accountabilities:

1. Develops all components of Shopper program development including - program objectives, creative brief, agency briefing, program tactic approval, estimate approval and budgeting.

2. Reviews and approves executional elements (artwork, etc.) across programming.

3. Collaborates with Sales Directors, Field Sales, Category Management, Supply Chain teams to ensure Shopper Marketing and Digital Commerce

programs are aligned with business plan and operating plan.

4. Manages Agency resources to ensure successful execution of Shopper Marketing programs and to ensure that programs achieve forecasted

objectives in alignment with budget.

5. Works closely with Brand Team, Sales (Business Development Mangers) to coordinate customer specific activity.

6. Complete post promotion analytics of shopper marketing tactics

7. Management of Direct Report.

8. Supports Sales and Consumer Marketing Teams in identifying Customer growth opportunities as well as identifies business risks to be mitigated.

9. Cross functional collaboration with brand marketing, sales, category management, supply chain, and PR to execute against company KPIs.

10. Other duties as assigned



Desired Skills and Background:

* Bachelor's degree required. MBA degree a strong plus.

* At least 6 years of Brand, Integrated Marketing, Shopper Marketing and/or Field Marketing experience required

* Consumer packaged goods experience required, ideally in food manufacturing

* Previous experience working across Digital Media and Ecommerce preferred

* Demonstrated use of syndicated and consumer data (Nielsen/IRI/),

* Strong Project Management Skills

* Previous co-marketing experience a strong plus.

* Proven ability to multi-task and organize the management of co-marketing/consumer promotion execution.

* High energy, strong communication and interpersonal skills to function effectively in a team environment.

* Commitment to results; ability to incorporate new learning into existing plans and act decisively.

* Strong ability to work in teams and build good working relationships

* Experience managing one or more direct report.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Ability to travel up to 20%

As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay range for this role is $115-$130k, plus eligibility to participate in the annual discretionary bonus plan. The actual pay for the position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity. This range may be subject to change over time.
