Job Summary:

This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and optimizing policies and processes to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and overall performance for all finance functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to document "as-is" processes and policies and design future-state workflows.
  • Evaluate current financial processes to identify areas for standardization or automation.
  • Lead and support finance transformation initiatives focused on improving cycle time, reducing errors, and enhancing controls.
  • Partner with leadership to identify information needed to support decision making.
  • Create and maintain financial models related to a variety of areas (fundraising, cashflow)
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process changes.
  • Partner with IT and other teams to implement process automation tools or system enhancements, including dashboard reporting
  • Support compliance with internal controls and audit requirements by improving documentation and process transparency.
  • Facilitate workshops, change management efforts, and training sessions for team members.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required. CPA or Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-7 progressive years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or process improvement roles.
  • Hands-on experience with finance systems.
  • Proficient in process mapping tools and data analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
