Dr. McLoughlin is leading an NIH-funded grant which spans over a 5-year period centered on improving the implementation and uptake of school meals, centered on improving equitable approaches to reducing food/nutrition insecurity. She also has been awarded a grant to investigate the relationship between neighborhood-level trauma and implementation of universal school meals. This position is for a full-time research analyst which will serve primarily in a coordinator role and will be responsible for handling research and administrative tasks on Dr. McLoughlin's projects.

Essential functions:
Administrative/Communication:
*Attend meetings with research staff (weekly), with collaborators at the school district of Philadelphia (every few weeks/1 month), and occasional meetings with research mentors
*Lead agenda formation and keeping of notes from meetings and distributing to the whole team within 1-2 days afterwards (unless before weekends- then more time needed)
*Assist in communications to the school district and participating schools regarding data collection scheduling (with other coordinator).
*Promote research activity and assist with recruitment, entailing attending meetings with potential school sites and community partners
*Lead communication with Community Advisory Board for Dr. McLoughlin's lab and set agendas for/lead meetings

Research tasks:
*Prepare research protocols for interview and survey data collection at school sites
*Lead interview and survey data collection and manage undergraduate students at the school site (if applicable). This will require in-person site visits to schools therefore needing to work Philadelphia region is necessary (transport will be provided or reimbursed for mileage).
*Lead data analysis procedures from surveys and interviews, and work with undergraduate students to analyze and code data.

Data Management:
*Work with the School District of Philadelphia on data sharing practices by integrating data collected for this study with their open-access datasets (i.e., Excel, Access)
*Develop protocols for how the research data are managed, including workflow for undergraduate students (under mentorship of Biostats core)
*Oversee data input and coding from research assistants
*Track completion of surveys, interviews, and other data collection metrics
*Analyze data according to protocols and supervise students

Writing tasks:
*Conduct literature reviews on implementation science, health equity, and school food policy using systematic methods (i.e., literature review spreadsheet)
*Develop research products (i.e., articles, presentations, briefs, reports, etc.) for dissemination to schools, researchers, and other research networks

Bachelor's degree in field related to social sciences and at least two years of directly related experience in community-based research with a strong preference for experience working with schools. Master's degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
