Your Role

Responsibilities:

  • BuildingOversight - Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections across three (3) Twin Cities facilities to identify necessary repairs. Perform necessary repairs or schedule repairs with vendors, including preventative maintenance of facilities equipment (HVAC, painting, carpentry, etc.).
  • Budget Management - Forecast and budget for variable operating expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies; track expense to ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Project Management - Plan and oversee building projects, including allocating and managing space effectively.
  • Strategic Planning - Collaborate on programs for hazardous waste management, recycling, and energy efficiency in compliance with government regulations, environmental health, and security standards. Develop and maintain a long term strategic plan for all facilities, systems, and Capital Expenditures.
  • Vendor Management - Ensure the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facility; supervise and coordinate with janitorial staff, day porters, pest control, and ground service providers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and innovation within the facilities department.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

People Leadership:

  • Coach, develop, and mentor the team to meet current and future business needs with qualified and motivated individuals.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business code of conduct and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Conducts reviews with team members to build effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for performance improvement.
  • Develops and facilitates onboarding and new hire training for assigned team.
  • Builds team unity to encourage retention and continuity of operations.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 7-10+ years of project and facility management experience required.
  • 3+ years of management experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • This role may require up to 10% travel. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or related certifications preferred.
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS), Niagara, experience preferred
  • Experience working with Facilities Management System.

    • This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.
