Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with 8 to 12 years of experience in Snowflake and PySpark. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects ensuring high-quality deliverables and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This hybrid role requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of data solutions using Snowflake and PySpark.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of data solutions through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for data management and governance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data processing and storage.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
  • Communicate project status risks and issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy regulations.
  • Document technical specifications and project-related information for future reference.
Qualifications
  • Must have extensive experience with Snowflake and PySpark.
  • Should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Should have a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Must be proficient in SQL and data modeling.
  • Should have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Nice to have experience with other big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
  • Should be familiar with Agile development methodologies.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a proactive approach to learning and staying current with industry trends.
  • Should have experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Must have a bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Certifications Required

Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent.

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
