The Product Manager reporting to the FCR Sr. Product Manager, is responsible for supporting the Focused Claims review and Audit and Recovery Products, which works with health plans, reinsurers and internal/external customers to contain the cost of claims through negotiation and claim audits.

The Product Manager provides performance reporting against expectations and facilitates or influences changes to product portfolio to improve competitive position and optimal product performance. Will work with internal leadership to determine product future direction or respond to product inquiries. May be project-based and involve working within multiple product functions.

This role is involved in evaluating product performance to help develop and update product goals and objectives.

Participates in analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work in support of product development. Collects and classifies new product ideas. Captures specifications for product requirements and functionality. May recommend changes to current product development procedures based on market research and new trends.

This role will be responsible for identifying and remediating efficiency shortfalls, product expansions, platform enhancements as well as managing all teams involved in strategic initiatives driving growth or process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Develop reporting and analysis to manage to support Product Management team and Product goals
  • Design, Manage and present monthly Performance reporting for product
  • Target programs with negative trends and engage team to make adjustment for performance improvements
  • Solid statistical and financial acumen; directing changes to P&L and solving for P&L improvements
  • Ability to gather organize and interpret performance data to outline full picture of Product performance and trends to recommend updates and adjustments to improve performance
  • Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet established product or business unit objectives
  • Develop functional/business specifications to drive product planning and development
  • Support analysis that contributes to business plans to drive product planning efforts, and prioritize as necessary (e.g., ROI, potential risks, financials)
  • Support analysis that is applicable to pricing plans (e.g., models, schedules guidelines, procedures, intersegment markups) and obtain required approvals (e.g., pricing reviews)
  • Perform applicable financial analyses to drive product planning efforts (e.g., cost/benefit analysis, revenue potential/forecasts, budgets, membership/volume forecasts)

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Analytics
  • Experience visually communicating business problems and flows - for example with Visio and PowerPoint
  • Experience visually presenting data for leadership to support strategic decision-making
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite and analysis tools
  • Proficiency with reporting platforms (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other Database management languages



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in Healthcare
  • Experience or certification in Project Management
  • Proven solid independent problem-solving ability
  • Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
