Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in ASP.NET (Core and MVC) and C# development
  • Proficiency in RESTful API development and Web Services (SOAP, JSON, XML)
  • Experience with Entity Framework (ORM) and code-first/database-first approaches
  • Data Analytics Platform experience such as Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting

Position Summary
The position will play a critical role in optimizing business processes through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications and data platforms. This position requires a blend of programming skills and expertise in data platforms such as Qlik and PowerBI. The specialist will be responsible for creating new applications, improving existing ones, and designing solutions to integrate data between external systems and the core internal facilities management system.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with software development standards and methodologies.
  • Strong background with programming languages i.e. C#, Python
  • Experience retrieving and posting data to Restful Web Services via custom code and/or low-code/no-code platforms
  • Database connection and querying experience with Oracle, MSSQL
  • Good critical thinking abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Maintain Existing Applications: Regularly update, troubleshoot, and improve existing software applications to ensure they meet current business needs.
  • Develop New Applications: Design, code, test, and deploy new applications to improve business processes, focusing on efficiency and reliability.
  • Code Optimization: Review and optimize existing code to enhance performance and maintainability.
  • Low-code/No-code: Leverage low-code and no-code software to facilitate improvements and achieve efficiency for processes.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed solutions to ensure transparency and ease of future maintenance.

  • Design & Implementation: Architect and develop robust solutions for transferring data between various external systems and the core internal facilities management system. This involves identifying optimal methods for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • API Integration: Create and manage APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems, ensuring real-time or near-real-time data synchronization.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize tools like Qlik and PowerBI to analyze data, create reports, and provide actionable insights to the business.
  • Strategy Support: Support business units in developing data-driven strategies by providing them with relevant data insights and BI tools.
