Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant. This person will be responsible for working directly with the production, maintenance, and quality departments in the areas of data entry, record keeping, and reporting. They will also provide administrative support and clerical functions such as preparing expense reports, receiving visitors, etc.

What you'll do:



  • Preparing reports, memos, letters and other documents as needed
  • Recording, typing and distributing meeting minutes
  • Analyzing incoming mail, memos, submissions and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution
  • Performing general office duties such as ordering supplies, weekly cleaning of main office, and maintaining records management database systems
  • Filing and retrieving corporate documents, records and reports
  • Making travel arrangements and prepare expense reports for executives
  • Receiving and creating of purchase orders into the Sage accounting system and communicating discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
  • Sending paperwork for received purchase orders to the accounts payable department for payment processing
  • Requesting service on contracted and non-contracted equipment as needed per managements request
  • Providing backup to the ABS/EHS specialist for EH&S related activities (reporting injuries, conducting safety meetings, month end reporting etc.)
  • Conducting new hire orientation for all employees
  • All other duties as assigned


What you'll bring:



  • Able to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace
  • Capable of exercising judgment and discretion in confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Able to complete multiple projects on time and with minimal supervision, which often serve several people and contain conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
  • Self-starter

    Within 3 months, you'll:



    • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
    • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.
    • Gain an understanding of production.
    • Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.
    • Partner with Inventory Control and Quality to investigate and provide corrective measures for production issues.


    Within 6-months, you'll:



    • Identify ways to strengthen the team's commitment to Atkore's core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.


    Within 12-months, you'll:



    • Create and update reports, training materials and documentation.
    • Be able to resolve any issues quickly and safely

    As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $ 25,250 - $37,875. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
