Duties: Adtalem Global Education Inc. seeks a Sr. Manager, Data Engineering based in Chicago, IL to design and build trusted, reliable, and timely datasets, metrics and data pipelines that are critical to company direction. Manage cloud technology stack, cloud infrastructure, and cloud database modelling techniques including push-down optimization, table partitioning, and clustering techniques. Build and lead a high-performing data engineering team in a hands-on technical capacity. Responsible for shaping the acquisition, collection and leveraging of data. Define and manage SLA's for all data sets and processes running in production. Work closely with Product Managers, Analysts, Data Scientists to develop and own data-driven systems. Utilize PowerShell, VBScript, Python, Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI. Implement IaaS and PaaS for system and database architecture, data solutions design and administration, release processes, and project planning. Design and implement solutions across serverless cloud data warehouse and data ingestion strategies including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Snowflake, and Informatica Cloud. Assist development team in troubleshooting, coding, testing, implementation, and documenting solutions. Support, grow, mentor and inspire new and existing team members. Be a key leader of the Data and Analytics team, working to propel the business towards being more data-driven. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the US. #LI-DNI QualificationsRequirements: Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study plus 2 years of commercial software development experience. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: (1) IaaS and PaaS implementations for system and database architecture, data solutions design and administration, release processes, and project planning; (2) solution design and implementation across serverless cloud data warehouse and data ingestion strategies including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Snowflake, and Informatica Cloud; (3) cloud technology stack, cloud infrastructure, and cloud database modelling techniques including push-down optimization, table partitioning, and clustering techniques; (4) designing and building data warehousing ETL using SSIS, Informatica Cloud, and GCP services; (5) designing, building, and supporting automation techniques for data loads; (6) designing and building APIs for external teams; (7) PowerShell, VBScript, and Python; (8) Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI; (9) Azure DevOps, Rally Version One, GitHub, and SSCM; and (10) Building GDPR and SOX data compliant. Additional InformationIn support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $139,901 to $159,585. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
