Department:Parks and Recreation Department Organizational Unit:Environmentally Endangered Lands

Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$22.86 to $25.15 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., includes some nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs skilled technical work providing administrative support to the Environmentally Endangered Lands Program.

REQUIREMENTS: Four (4) years of progressively responsible program administrative support experience. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience with tracking and coordinating grants and/or contracts is preferred. Certification as a Notary Public is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during term of employment. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, fulltime permanent employees will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
