Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Regulatory Reporting, the Accounting Manager of Regulatory Reporting will be primarily responsible for leading the review of the Company's quarterly, monthly and weekly regulatory reports, and participating in related projects involving complex financial analysis. This position will work closely with the regulatory reporting members, business leaders in Finance and Treasury, and engage with Lines of Business. This position requires an understanding of the bank's operations, organizational, and legal structure; and offers senior exposure across the bank as the individual will be responsible for ownership of essential processes and reports.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review quarterly financial reports (e.g., Call Report, FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, FFIEC 009, etc.) prescribed by the banking regulators ensuring accuracy of all data reported and conformance with regulatory instructions and timely submission.
  • Collaboratively oversee and manage the core Regulatory Reporting team in their day-to-day responsibilities and identify and escalate risks to senior leadership.
  • Subject matter expert of finance data transformation projects. Foster an understanding and development of critical data flows from various sources to financial reports with a focus on process automation and standardization.
  • Initiate and develop new procedures to enhance operating efficiency. Identify opportunities for enhancement based on analysis of trends in financial reporting. Ability to communicate to management and strategic finance partners the value of enhancement opportunities.
  • Assist in preparation for external and internal audits/exams.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Treasury, Technology, etc.) on system modifications for financial products as a subject matter expert for regulatory reporting team.
  • Adhere to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Accounting, MIS or related field)
  • 5-10+ years of experience in the financial industry, emphasis on financial reporting
  • Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information to senior management
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements to streamline reporting
  • Ability to work under supervisory time constraints and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or advanced degree (Business or related field)
  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent professional certification (or working towards obtaining license)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn automated data analysis tools and techniques

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $103,000 to $113,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
