Senior Manager, Tax (Multiple Positions), Chicago, IL

Apply understanding of technology environments, interfaces, financial reporting standards, modeling, and technical tax guidance to improve tax processes and drive related technology enablement projects. Collaborate with clients to understand their overall business, operational, data, and information system requirements for tax processes. Document tax processes and ensure that improvements are successfully implemented. Analyze tax data, calculations, and reports using relational databases, data analytics tools, and data visualizations. Implement design processes and technology enablers utilizing various technologies to address tax function issues, including transfer pricing, partnership reporting, state tax calculations, and local tax calculations. Collaborate with clients and liaise with KPMG project team members to implement, test, and monitor planned tax process improvements. Assist in new business development related to tax process improvement services by developing client relationships and collaborating with industry and subject matter professionals. Provide guidance, supervision, and training to staff members.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and 7 years of related work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Developing tax models using Excel; Utilizing relational databases, including SQL Server; Conducting extraction from source systems, data cleansing, and data transformations; Using data analytics tools, including Alteryx, Power Query, or Excel VBA; Designing and developing data visualizations to facilitate the interpretation of tax model results; and Using data visualization tools, including Power BI and Qlik Sense.

Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 60% required.

Telecommuting may be permitted within commutable distance from the office location, depending on business need.

SALARY RANGE: $151,300- $294,700 per year
