The Operations Manager at Rotex will lead daily operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency and customer delivery in our manufacturing facility. This role ensures that operational processes align with business goals and support continuous improvement across all functions. Work You'll Do:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day plant operations including production, scheduling, inventory, logistics, and maintenance
- Drive operational excellence through process improvements, lean manufacturing initiatives, and KPI tracking
- Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team to achieve production targets and foster a culture of safety and accountability
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on production goals and customer expectations
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals
Team:
- You will be a key leader within the Operations team at Rotex, reporting to the Plant Manager. You'll work alongside a dedicated group of engineers, technicians, and production staff focused on delivering best-in-class industrial separation equipment. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering high-value solutions to customers worldwide.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or production management
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing diverse teams
- Proven ability to implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or capital equipment industry
- Six Sigma or Lean certification
- ERP experience with Great Plains
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience working in an Union environment.
