About the role

Reworld is seeking an experienced, self-motivated waste specialist with hands-on experience in the hazardous and non-hazardous waste industry or related field. An ideal candidate shall be a knowledgeable, customer-oriented, self-starter, interested in working for a leading waste services company. The ideal candidate will be curious, methodical, and adept in working in a cross-functional atmosphere. Reworld is interested in the candidate who shares the vision of providing a world class sustainable solutions service in the waste industry.

Responsibilities:
Qualified candidate would be responsible for quality assurance of Non-Hazardous Profiled Waste deliveries into the Material Processing Facility (MPF). Candidate would report to the MPF Operations Manager/Supervisor with a dotted line to the Regional Materials Profile Specialist Manager.

• Follow and implement the Material Compliance SOP and Waste Analysis Plan (WAP), work with facility personnel to ensure that waste received meets the approved profile
• Ensure sampling and testing procedures are in place and followed.
• Receive and manage shipping paperwork, including use of EPA e-Manifest, as applicable.
• Document all discrepancies and communicate with Customer Service and Material Profile Specialists to resolve problems discovered during waste inspection process.
• Facilitate a solution-oriented approach to discrepancy resolution and long-term compliance.
• Identify and catalog waste processing issues and develop strategic long-term solutions to ensure sustainable compliance.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* HS diploma or GED required

3 years of experience in the waste industry or related field

* Experience with standard QA/QC laboratory in waste receipt
* Experience in materials management and logistics
* Experience implementing and modifying SOPs
* HAZWOPER training, RCRA Boot camp or related training
* OSHA Training or related safety training
* BS or BA in Environmental Science a plus
* Customer Service-related experience a plus
* Proficient computer skills
* CDL Driving experience a plus

Physical Demands:
* Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces; limited but maybe required for sampling
* Consistently work in various weather conditions

Work Environment:
* 80% Processing yard and facility
* 20% Office environment

Shift:

Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend. Typically, 8-10-hour shifts, frequent overtime.
