My client, a reputable healthcare company, is hiring for a Patient Access Technician! Job Description: * Under direction of departmental leadership, the Patient Access Technician provides clerical and secretarial support for the patient care team and serves as a patient liaison for medical support services. * Greets, instructs, directs and assists patients and visitors upon arrival to the service area. * Facilitates the revenue cycle process to include but not limited to patient registration, insurance verification to confirm active policy, co-payment collection, authorization data entry and billing inquiry functions. * Responsible for accurate data collection, documentation, and data retrieval with computerized systems. * Works collaboratively with various departments on patient access related information. * Conducts pre-registration and insurance verification. * Provides coverage to assigned registration locations including those outside of primary work location or by task assignment based on operational needs. * This role is alot of customer service- they are greeting patients coming through the door, entering information into their Registration system which is Eclipses, verifying insurance, collecting co-payments. They work in PowerCharts as well * This process varies whether they are checking in a normal health center patient in versus an urgent care patient. If it is a Health Center patient that has an appointment scheduled, they will work in EPIC, Eclipses, and PayEasy to collect co payments and all registration will be done at the front desk (they will be back up for the health center registration person when they leave at 3 PM) * For the urgent care they will register all patients coming in - if there is a long wait, they will have them wait in the car after check in (no bed side registration anymore) Qualifications to Apply: * Strong computer skills * Great customer service * Ability to work the hours, shift, and weekends - reliability * Thrive in a fast paced environment APPLY NOW!!!!!
