*Job Description:*
* Work with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide instruction, service, and troubleshooting techniques for respiratory equipment to patients. * Educate and teach patients and caregivers how to use and care for respiratory equipment. * Set up equipment, explain equipment to patients, and explain financial responsibilities to patients. * Complete all company, insurance, and/or government-provided paperwork timely and entirely (e.g., delivery tickets, safety checklist forms, patient booklet receipts, equipment-specific instruction/cleaning forms). * Double as a Customer Service Representative at the store location when not on location with patients. * Answer inbound calls, make outbound calls, and handle emails. * Obtain, analyze, and verify the accuracy of information received from referrals, create orders, and schedule patients to receive equipment as ordered by their doctor. * Process orders, route calls to appropriate resources, and follow up on customer calls where necessary. *Requirements:* * Medical or clinical experience (Medical Assistant/CNA/Insurance Verification). * Experience working one-on-one with customers. * Confidence and ability to communicate effectively, including explaining medical equipment, troubleshooting, and explaining insurance and financial responsibilities. * Ability to understand technical equipment and attention to detail. * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and assist patients into a seated position. * High School Diploma or equivalent. * One year of work-related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center, or management. *Work Environment:* * Work at the Lansing store location and in medical facilities and assisted living facilities. * Business casual attire or scrubs; close-toed shoes required. * Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm (1-hour lunch break) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
