Job DescriptionThe Data & Analytics Senior Business Analyst requires a blend of analysis expertise, AI knowledge, and strategic foresight, making it integral to data-driven decision-making in education. This position partners with various departments to provide analysis and recommendations based on accountability metrics utilizing cutting edge technologies in AI and machine learning, and other data analysis techniques to optimize business processes and move the college forward.

The salary range for this position is $75,643.83 - $85,000

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with business stake holders and influence without authority to improve educational outcomes and enhance strategic decision making through advanced analytics.
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative ways to integrate AI into our core business practices, develop and deploy automated, AI-powered decision-making tools to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven responses to key challenges.
  • Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to predict trends, classify data, and optimize decision-making processes, improving student success and engagement.
  • Research socio-economic factors impacting student success, provide leadership team with descriptive and prescriptive analysis on steps to improve the student experience.
  • Analyze data across the student lifecycle-from admissions through enrollment, retention, graduation, and alumni engagement-to uncover insights that enhance institutional effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to provide actionable insights on program outcomes and student engagement to help improve educational delivery.

    Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's Degree in fields of Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
    • Specialization or certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Predictive Analytics are highly desirable

    Professional Experience

    • 4-5 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or business intelligence, preferably with some experience in the education sector
    • Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), or other education-specific data platforms, and an understanding of how to integrate, analyze, and interpret data from these sources is preferred
    • Strong research experience, particularly with socio-economic factors in education, including statistical analysis and providing actionable insights is preferred

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify and define business problems suitable for data science solutions.

    • Proficiency in writing Python scripts to analyze large datasets, perform feature engineering, and train/ test/track /AI/ML models.

    • Experience developing dashboards for effective reporting and performance tracking of AI/ML models.

    • Familiarity with partnering alongside system architects and application engineers to integrate production-ready models into operational systems.

    The salary range for this position is $75,643.83 - $85,000/Yr.
