YOU As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will play an integral role, supporting the growth of new and existing client relationships by providing pre- and post-technical sales support for current and prospective customers. As a product expert, you breakdown and understand a customer's business needs, requirements, and pain points and translate those interactions and issues into seamless integrations of Simpson products and solutions. You have knowledge and understanding of technical and non-technical building challenges experienced by builders, developers, structural engineers, and architects and can provide input on solutions. You have experience within the Component Manufacturing space and understand the impact and functions of a CM role within the business. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time) Act as a partner between our customers and our sales and delivery teams in project requirements. You will assist with the gathering, scope, creation, budget, and timeline estimations. This role will also provide technical pitch support, and ongoing project support throughout the customer lifecycle. Will lead customer demonstrations and technical support. Work collaboratively across multiple departments and levels providing mentorship and seamless handoff of customer account at the optimal time. (30%) You are a leader and a key contributor to the development process of products/ solutions, providing input on the product's technical features and functionality. You have a strong understanding of our products' technical features and functionality, and you stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements. You provide valuable feedback from customers to the product development team to influence future product enhancements. You understand our customer's business requirements, needs, and pain points and translate those interactions and issues into actionable solutions. Effectively communicate and resolve customer pain points. Understand the needs of and Influence customers, owners, developers, general contractors, and architects to incorporate Simpson products/ services into their business. (30%) You will lead in providing exceptional end-to-end software implementation services. This could include acting as project manager and solutions consultant, developing and managing implementation schedules, establishing customer success measures in alignment with system capabilities, advising on best practices, installing and configuring system, and developing, documenting, and facilitating end-user training. (30%) You will provide ongoing post-implementation support and training in Component Solutions integrated software systems. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in both a professional office environment, customer sites and outdoor construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. The employee occasionally works around moving mechanical parts. The noise level may be loud at times. Travel This position requires domestic and international travel 30% - 50% of the time. Work Status & Location This is a full-time, remote, exempt position in North America. Relocation Relocation is not available for this position.
