Software Engineer (Systems)

At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Position Title: Software Engineer

Job Purpose: Support Product Development with the design, coding, and integration of aircraft products throughout the program lifecycle. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Technical Program Manager, Program Software Manager, and Software Engineering Lead to support product development through First Article Inspection.

Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:

The role involves performing technical tasks such as software development, requirements decomposition, software design, unit and module testing, and the integration of embedded software onto hardware platforms. The candidate will also be an integral part of a multi-disciplined engineering project team and will report directly to the Director of Software Engineering.

Education and Experience:

* DO178 and DO254 experience is desirable.

* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field.

* A minimum of 2 years of Software Engineering experience.

* Familiarity with DOORS is preferred.

* C++ experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

* Experience with military communication equipment, VOIP, SIP, H.323, and/or Ethernet networking is a significant advantage.
