Job Summary: As a National Account Manager at DataBank, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and building lasting relationships with our key national accounts. You will be responsible for managing and expanding business relationships with existing national accounts while identifying and pursuing new opportunities to drive sales and profitability. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: Account Management:
- Cultivate & Develop deeper and wider relationships with some of our largest and most Strategic existing National Account clients
- Build relationships deep and wide within each organization.
- Develop an engagement Strategy for each account, with the ability to verbalize Strategy details to the DataBank Management team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts, understanding their needs and objectives.
Sales Growth:
- The NAM will be assigned a sales quota including both Cloud/Managed Services and Colocation services.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets by growing the existing Book of Business and bringing in New Logos.
- Maintain the existing book of business and put ourselves in the best position to expand Services by expanding our engage at multiple levels within the client organization.
- Identify opportunities to expand product lines, increase product adoption, and maximize account profitability.
Market Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Use market insights to develop strategies for business growth and sales improvement.
Negotiation:
- Negotiate and finalize agreements, contracts, and terms with national accounts.
- Ensure mutually beneficial outcomes and adherence to company policies.
Sales Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and track performance against targets.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the management team.
Product Knowledge:
- Must be able to promote and evangelize DataBank and its services.
- Become an expert on the company's products and services to effectively communicate value propositions to national accounts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Must be able to work as part of a team environment.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align strategies and resources.
- Work with other departments to address and resolve customer issues and concerns.
Travel:
- As needed, visit key accounts, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events to nurture relationships and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 7 years + outside sales experience with consistent 100% quota attainment.
- Experience in technology-related sales, account management, private cloud services, hosting and/or colocation.
- Experience with disaster recover/background experience and selling applications (VMware, Windows, Cloud, Linux, etc).
- Proven experience as a National Account Manager or a similar sales role with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (Written & Verbal).
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
