Overview

The Compensation Analyst evaluates and processes all provider positions throughout Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) for placement in salary structure. This person supports the Provider Compensation and Human Resources team in analyzing equity placement, national provider market data, pay practices, reorganization initiatives, and provider compensation plans.

Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • Provider compensation experience preferred.
  • Excel skills required.
  • Experience with Lawson / Workday preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and compiles provider national compensation market data and percentile calculations for benchmarking purposes.
  • Conducts and completes external market surveys. Run queries to extract data necessary for completing external salary surveys.
  • Participates in the analytical process of developing the Salary Structure and Wage Adjustment Recommendation for each specialty.
  • Assists in researching and preparing innovative provider compensation plans.
  • Prepares scenario analysis to assess the impact of potential compensation plans.
  • Develops and maintains policies for publishing in online HR Document Library. In collaboration with IS Web Team, designs WebPages, graphics and relevant links for Provider Compensation resources.
  • Represents the Provider Compensation team at committee, task group, and departmental meetings. Works on related assignments and projects. Interacts with various levels of leadership, professionals and employees.
  • Maintains established compensation policies and procedure guidelines and updates when necessary. Resource for organization on compensation policy.
  • HRIS queries/audits, Excel spreadsheets and graphs. Serves as liaison with information services staff in resolving programming and related problems. Recommends new equipment or software in support of objectives.
  • Regularly monitors and provides analysis of key provider compensation statistics, data, trends, and best practices for their customer group with regular formal reporting to assist the customer group in making data driven decisions and for more effective planning.
  • Provides customer service to PHS employees and managers and in some instances, non-employees, in specialty area by phone or in person.
  • Escalates problems within specialty team to ensure resolution.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by responding to questions, interpreting and administering policies and procedures and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Uses all available resources to respond to incoming requests in an effort to assist customers with a resolution to their problem/concern.
  • Continually supports the Vision, Values, Purpose and Strategies of PHS. Maintains a professional standard in communicating with all customers, internal and external.
  • Relationship builder with a proactive, can-do, agile and sense of urgency approach to meeting the business needs and promoting how HR expertise can contribute to business objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
