We are seeking a Senior Supervisor, Corporate Accounting to join our Austin, TX location. As part of the Corporate Accounting Team this role will afford you the opportunity of being a business partner to Operations, Treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions, Human Resources, Payroll, Tax, and Real Estate.
Your Impact
Assist in maintaining a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve accounting operations and manage risks.
- Manage aspects of external and internal audit activities.
- Assist with the management and oversight of the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process.
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of certain key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Drive process improvements and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations and improve the quality of the internal controls.
- Review and enhance analysis and analytical processes and controls.
- Supervise a small team of accounting professionals and partner with management to create positive morale, fostering engagement and make recommendations regarding professional development of staff.
- Support financial due diligence and financial integration of acquisitions.
- Manage and review of staff prepared reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.
- Provide support on ad-hoc projects
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA required
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience preferably with a large, public company
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
Additional Success Factors
- Experience and working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Oracle Cloud preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Intermediate-level experience using Excel, including the ability to work with complex tables and X-lookups
- Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
