The IT Infrastructure Manager role leads the teams to improve and maintain Printpack's IT Infrastructure across our global IT network. The global network consists of approximately 25 locations worldwide including manufacturing facilities, remote offices and the corporate office. Our IT Infrastructure is critical to the daily operations of our business. This strategic and critical position will ensure the company's agility and resiliency as the organization continues to transform the business with technology.

Candidate must be based in Atlanta, GA or within driving distance of Printpack's Corporate office. This position should expect after hours escalation on call duty.

Travel Requirements: Travel as required, approximately 10% travel per year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

GLOBAL CONSULTATION AND SUPPORT

  • Serve as a consultant to Printpack's Executives and functional leaders to meet organizational technology and infrastructure needs for digital transformation.

  • Educate, make recommendations, and formulate the appropriate approach and guidance to ensure business continuity and mitigate business risks.

  • Provide infrastructure guidance to the IT review board.

  • Provide infrastructure expertise to drive technology enabled business enhancements.

ORGANIZATIONAL OPERATIONS DELIVERY

  • Lead and promote innovation that revolutionizes how Information Technology and Operational Technology can continue to deliver differentiated value to support smart manufacturing and digital business operations.

  • Develop an infrastructure strategy to ensure all our servers, local networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.) remain relevant, stable, easy to use, safe, scalable, and supportable.

  • Maintain an infrastructure roadmap and manage the priority on infrastructure initiatives.

  • Provide infrastructure expertise during the evaluation process for new technology, including new technology proofs of concept/value.

  • Manage relationships and mitigate risks with infrastructure vendors.

  • Research, evaluate, develop, and maintain comprehensive server, network, and cloud service mappings and dependencies.

  • Ensure new infrastructure (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with Printpack's policies and applicable standards, legislation, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

  • Network within and outside of the company to stay informed on industry and market trends and determine potential impact to the enterprise.

STAKEHOLDER INTERACTION

  • Communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to foster a business-oriented culture to ensure alignment between IT and the business functions and to directly contribute to Printpack's goals and objectives.

  • Provide consultation and interact with Senior Executives and their organizations. Collaborate and work closely with Subject Matter Experts from IT, the business, customers, and suppliers accordingly.

  • Build and maintain relationships with other business and IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and respond with agility to changing business priorities.

  • Solicit business feedback and input to ensure user needs are being met and incorporate into IT operational and project management improvements. Update guidelines and standards as needed.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

  • Lead a strategic and high performing team that has direct enterprise business impact.

  • Develop and coach the IT Infrastructure team to continually improve IT capabilities necessary to increase performance of the organization. Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure associates have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business. Manage performance issues when necessary. Work with associates on their career development plans.

  • Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset within the IT Infrastructure team driven by a continual service improvement approach.

  • Work with the IT leadership team to plan future technical, business, and leadership skills needed.

  • Hire, organize, train, develop, and motivate department staff for high productivity.

  • Effectively influence, align, and communicate objectives and key results to mobilize resources to capitalize on business opportunities and manage organizational risks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in Information Technology

  • Experience managing a technical team

  • Experience working in a team environment under stringent time constraints

  • Experience working closely with internal and external customers to implement solutions

  • Experience in a hybrid environment of on-premise and cloud systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory

  • Experience with both building and maintaining physical and virtual servers

  • Experience with both Windows and Linux based systems

  • Experience with scripting languages including Windows PowerShell

  • Experience with network technologies

  • Experience with backup technologies, both on-prem and cloud, such as Veritas, Infrascale, AWS VTL, Veeam, etc

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure services such as AWS and Azure

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Extensive knowledge managing both on-prem and cloud IT systems

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory

  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare

  • Knowledge of networking and telecommunications concepts

  • Knowledge of various backup technologies such as Veeam, Infrascale, and AWS VTL

  • Knowledge of Windows PowerShell
