Nokia's Cloud and Network Services (CNS) business group is building out a suite of products and capabilities that drive our Autonomous Networks vision. We are creating a data fabric that brings together all the information that we gather from telecom networks with the goal of feeding intelligent decision making for autonomous operations. The Senior Manager of Data Technologies will manage the development of data technologies for the Autonomous Network Fabric (ANF), a set of SaaS as well as on-premises services operating at petabyte scale. AI/ML-based intelligence is a key component of this system.



  • Own and drive the activities of agile scrum teams tasked with designing and building out data technologies for the ANF
  • Work with other engineering teams within the business group to onboard existing as well as new data-intensive applications and capabilities on to the data fabric
  • Interface with platform engineering teams to leverage common components, services and technologies
  • Work with Release Management to adopt processes and practices needed for the successful and timely delivery of the data fabric in multiple footprint variants
  • Implement modern engineering practices, including an agile, SaaS-first mindset and a strong focus on automation
  • Staff up engineering teams with the necessary skills needed for architecting, implementing and maintaining the data fabric
  • Work with Nokia partners to drive data technology integrations and delivery models needed to best serve our joint customers
  • Work directly with Nokia customers and design partners to align on requirements related to the data architecture

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong understanding of data technologies and architectures such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes etc.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles
  • 4+ years leading engineering for data at scale including AI/ML systems
  • 4+ years leading in a SaaS context, preferably in a data-intensive environment
  • Some experience engineering products for on-premises delivery
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies, including some experience with at least one hyperscaler.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Experience working within a globally distributed and diverse engineering organization
  • Strong inter-personal skills, and the aptitude to nurture and grow engineering talent
  • Telecom industry experience and knowledge of telecom technologies is a plus, but not required
