Summary

Responsible for the overall supervision and delivery of training system activities on the USAF E-3 AWACS DRAGON Flight Simulator program. Coordinates the synchronization of software, database, cybersecurity, configuration management and engineering support activities. Ensures that all activities are in compliance with the respective regulations and customer contracts, and that the highest standards of quality are maintained. Creates a clear, customer-centric vision for the programs and communicates it to support staff. Builds and ensures a solid relationship with existing customers.

The Training System Support Center Manager oversees software support staff and ensures software deliveries meet customer requirements.

  • Manage a support staff through motivational leadership.

  • Set clear goals and expectations, hold your team accountable to executing customer required updates / modifications.

  • Provide ongoing feedback, prioritize, and assign projects; ensuring both a high-quality product and timely deliveries.

  • Prepare and execute agendas, meetings, and minutes IAW contract delivery requirements lists (CDRL's)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

This job requires advanced knowledge of and skill in the development and release of hardware and software.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4+ years of people / project management experience

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, highly self-driven and results oriented.

  • Familiar with the upkeep, maintenance, and qualification of aircraft simulator training devices

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance and work in a Sensitive Compartmented Facility (SCIF)

Preferred Skills

  • High level of organization and planning skills, ability to work plans and the diligence to follow and monitor the plans through execution and completion.

  • Experience/background in flight training systems, simulators, simulator software test and verification

  • Available outside of normal business hours.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment in a U.S. government facility designated as a Sensitive Compartmented Facility (SCIF). The work environment does not allow the use of personal electronic devices unless expressly approved for use by DOD regulations.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in support of computer or simulator efforts.

  • Ability to climb stairs to enter and exit the simulator training devices.
