Responsibilities

We are hiring a Service Verification and Acceptance Testing System Administrator to support our program in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Service Verification and Acceptance Testing System Administrator is responsible for ensuring that IT services meet the defined requirements and standards before they are deployed into the live environment. This role involves planning, managing, executing and documenting various validation and testing activities to guarantee quality and performance of IT services. The SVAT Specialist plays a critical role in minimizing the risks associated with service changes and ensuring smooth transition of services.

What you'll do:

    Gather business requirements while learning the business processes, understanding operational functions, and producing analysis and requirements.
  • Performance of quality assurance software testing, acceptance criteria verification and check-out/smoke test processes using manual and automated testing and scripting tools.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Microsoft Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Desktops.
  • Install, deploy, and manage RHEL Linux-based servers.
  • Researching, designing, developing and/or modifying Gov cloud systems to include AWS, Google or Azure.
  • Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) scans and perform mitigations as part of achieving system certification and accreditation.
  • Develop, build, and deploy MS Group Policies to meet DISA Security Technical Information Guides (STIG) requirements.
  • Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production.
  • Document and address any System related POAMs.
  • Act as File Transfer Agent for multiple programs.
  • Assist in patching and upgrading all computer systems and applications.
  • Assist in remediating/mitigating system vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.


Qualifications

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, 9 years of applicable expeirence will be acceptablein lieu of degree

What you'll need:

  • Current DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Certificates (CE) Intermediate (Example Security+, SSCP)
  • Experience in virtualization and Active Directory.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI

Preferred:

  • BA/BS Degree (Two (2) years of job-related experience in the field).
  • 2+ years of experience in a classified environment.
  • Knowledge of network and information system security principles and test practices.
  • An independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
