About the opportunity
SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a regular (with benefits), full-time, Project-level Technical Editor to join the Technical Publications team and support SWCA primarily in the West. The preferred location for the candidate is in Pasadena, CA, but highly qualified, remote (distributed) candidates who can generally adhere to Pacific working hours will be seriously considered. SWCA's technical reports range from simple memoranda to multichapter, multivolume environmental impact statements. The candidate will be responsible for editing and formatting our scientific technical reports and marketing proposals. This full-time position has occasional evening, weekend, and overtime work when deadlines demand. The candidate could fill any of three project-level roles based on skill and years of relevant experience:

An employee in this Pasadena, CA-based project level position can expect a salary rate of: Assistant Project Technical Editor - $28.67/hour - $36.27/hour; Associate Project Technical Editor - $65,707/year to $83,959/year; Project Technical Editor - $74,225/year to $94,910/year. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
