Job Overview:

If you're fueled by innovation and driven to build solutions from the ground up, we have an exciting opportunity as our Mechanical Design Engineer developing custom engineer to order (eto) solutions - a hands-on engineering and design role where your creativity meets real-world impact. In this role, you won't just be another cog in the machine - you'll be the engineer, the designer, and the mastermind behind one-of-a-kind systems tailored for customers around the globe. From sketch to final prototype, you'll own the entire process of delivering a turnkey system - pushing boundaries, solving complex challenges, and collaborating across Product Management, Customer Service, and Sales to bring bold, custom solutions to life. This is more than just engineering - it's inventing, iterating, and building until it's perfect. Responsibilities:


  • Interpret Customer Specifications to appropriately size and offer the correct product for their application

  • Creation of 3D Models, Drawings, P&IDs, and other documentation as the project requires

  • Process the orders received for Engineered Solutions by creating the required part numbers, Bills of Materials, and test procedures required for production to build, test, and ship the product.

  • Provide costing to Product Management for the custom solution that Engineering designs

  • Daily work in Salesforce, PTC Windchill and SAP to execute Quotations, Orders, and Technical Questions as required.

  • Support product engineering and operations initiatives (NPD, i2V, product rationalization, etc.) through business case analysis and project execution.

  • Determines the development or purchase of capital equipment.

  • Interacts with design, manufacturing and suppliers.

  • Assists internal and external suppliers with processing problems and troubleshoots to find root cause.

  • Ensures safety designed into all processes and implements safety corrective actions required to eliminate safety risks

  • Attend various online meetings as required with internal and external customers as it relates to projects.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).

  • 4+ years of years of experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • 3+ years of experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoDesk, PTC Creo) and other engineering tools.

  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects with strong organizational skills.

  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability and Innovation: Flexibility to adapt to changes, openness to new ideas, and drive for continuous improvement.



Preferences:


  • Industry experience with rotating machinery

  • Experience with project management.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.



Travel and Work Arrangements


  • This position is fully onsite in Springfield, MO
