Job Overview:

Are you a driven supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We're seeking a Production Supervisor who will oversee team performance, coordinate their activities, drive daily operational excellence, and maintain a strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and effective decision-making. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for making critical decisions, solving problems as they arise, and ensuring the timely, high-quality delivery of products while collaborating closely with management to meet customer needs (internal /external) and business goals.

Responsibilities:


  • Operations: Plan, organize, and delegate work assignments to ensure optimal utilization of man-hours, skills, and equipment.

  • Production Oversight: Anticipate potential production issues and proactively devise procedures to address any disruptions, ensuring smooth operations and on-time deliveries.

  • Plant Safety: Conduct regular inspections of machines and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. Vigilant about maintaining a safe working environment and enforcing the use of safety equipment, proper housekeeping, and quick identification of hazardous conditions.

  • Training: Directly involved with coordinating and participating in training programs to continually enhance your team's skills and performance.

  • Employee Safety: Supervise safety measures on the floor, investigating accidents, overseeing safety inspections, conducting training, and ensuring safety rules are followed with the highest priority.

  • Team Management: Participate in recruiting and training production staff, while providing guidance on goal setting, performance management, and employee development.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on other tasks as assigned, remaining flexible to support the team and operations as needed.




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Prior supervisory experience (preference in a manufacturing or production environment)

  • Strong understanding of safety practices and production workflows

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

  • Work Coordination & Prioritization - Skilled at organizing team schedules, assigning tasks based on capabilities, and adjusting priorities in real-time to meet production demands.

  • Problem Solving & Decision Making - Able to quickly assess production or safety issues, troubleshoot effectively, and implement practical solutions with minimal disruption.

  • Communication & Team Support - Clearly communicates expectations, provides consistent feedback, and serves as a dependable resource for employees on the floor.




Travel and Work Arrangements


  • This position is fully onsite in our Sedalia, MO facility
