Join our team at Terex Utilities and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Process Technician to contribute to the Terex team in Watertown, SD.

What you'll do

  • Provide day to day coaching, guidance and direction to new and exciting Terex team members. Team Members do not directly report to this role but this role is their immediate contact for on production operation escalation
  • Ability to implement process improvements to increase productivity and throughput
  • Support and monitor production processes to ensure production line is operating effectively
  • Active participant in Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III format meetings
  • Monitor production line to ensure developing problems are identified and resolved as quickly as possible
  • Create and update process documentation.
  • Perform routine testing on raw goods, in-process products, and finished goods according to Company standards, customer specifications, and any applicable regulatory standards
  • The Process Technician will be periodically assigned to other areas on the production line as relief for value add team members during PTO, illnesses, and other absences
  • Advanced troubleshooting on Terex products.
  • Assist in line layout changes.
  • Assist in resolution of quality issues including rework and periodic quality inspection.

  • Self-motivated, flexible, adaptable and nimble to change in a fast paced environment, manage and prioritize competing projects, attention to detail and work well under pressure
  • Proven skills to read, understand and follow technical directions and instructions. Proficient math skills for technical calculations
  • Document and maintain information
  • Seek opportunities for continuous process improvement and demonstrate effective problem solving skills to minimize and anticipate potential problems and impacts
  • Ability to learn various software.
  • Able to use hand tools.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Capacity to work independently and within a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • AAS in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Robotics or Electronics Engineering Technology preferred. Pursuing two- or four-year Electronics Tech, Electrical Engineering or similar Technical program and equivalent work experience may be considered. Previous relevant Terex experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated decision making skills that will have impact on the production process, the quality of the product, compliance with environmental standards, and the safety of the plant and staff
  • Solid understanding of production processes to make decisions to manage the variety of processes including safety precautions and to ensure operations that are efficient and cost effective

The compensation range for this position is $25.00-$35.50 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
