Title: Merchandise Planning & Allocation, Temporary

JOB NISSION:

The merchandise planning and allocation team is responsible for forecasting sales, managing inventory, and ensuring the right products are in the right stores at the right time in the right quantities. As a Planning and Allocation temp, you will support the planning and allocation teams by managing merchandise financial plans for specific categories/product, create promotions in the system, allocate product to ensure stores have the inventory on hand to support sales and margin goals, and provide analysis to the merchant team.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assist in the sales, gross margin, and inventory plans for specific categories/product or locations during budget, re-forecast, and OTB updates.

  • Manage auto replenishment based on sales trend, seasonal factors, and business needs

  • Follow appropriate initial allocation and replenishment guidelines for new product launches based on product life cycle and sales trend

  • Manage and track PO flow and inventory to retail stores

  • Quantify in-season risks and opportunities at the department, class, and style level making the appropriate recommendations to the merchant teams.

  • Update item groups and pricing documents in our Aptos system that drive in store promotions.

  • Update weekly/monthly business summaries to report the status of the business.

  • Attend and help prepare materials for weekly business meetings.

  • Complete ad hoc analysis and report creation as needed

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Proficient in retail math.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is required

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with different levels of management.

  • Positive attitude and experience working in a team environment.

Flexible Work Schedule
